Racing has become a very important part of my life. It takes a lot of dedication and a lot of focus but results in a real sense of accomplishment and puts me in great shape. Sharing this information helps keep my mind in the game and lets you read about my experiences :)

Yay, a good day

Just a quick note. Wanted to document that I did indeed get my rear out of bed this morning and went to Masters swim. I switched to the 6:30 group and figured I wouldn't know anyone. BUT, go figure as I'm getting out of my car, there is my friend Jen who I haven't seen at swim for a long time. She switched to 6:30 now too! And Megan was there, she did the Ironman last weekend so I was a little surprised but she took it really easy and said it was nice to just get moving again.
Tonight a bunch of us (that included the Iron Angels and Bosley) got together for a run around the lakes. We did about 7 miles. The fall marathon teams were at Harriet and doing the Scavenger Hunt so as we ran into the groups, we stopped to help them fulfill their items for the hunt. Most of them just needed us to help them spell out words like "Go TNT" and "marathon" with our bodies. It was fun.
So it's off to bed now....well a shower first. Then I have to get up a little early to bring Neo in for a vet appointment. His urinary infection is flaring up a little again so they are going to check him out, probably send us home with some meds again and I'm going to drill the vet to tell me what food we should switch to for more water content and better weight management. I love my kitties but they both need to lose a little weight to be healthier :)

Nice to hear you're still pounding out the miles. And Kimmi and Rachel are running already? Wow. I'd still be in bed eating ice cream.
