There was a good handful of TNT members doing the race as well. Two of the guys became official triathletes that day! It was pretty exciting. Here's a group photo:
I also went for a 6 mile easy run today and while I was out, I spent quite a bit of my time thinking about the races I have coming up and the possibility of completing an IronMan next year. I think I can honestly say I enjoy the sprint races more than the longer distances. I can be "fast" so to speak on the short ones and be a little more competitive, with the field and with myself. It's nice to complete the longer ones and say that I did it but the sprint courses are so much fun, only take up part of your morning, are a lot less stressful and take less recovery, cost less, etc. Not to mention they are everywhere so I could race one every weekend all summer if I wanted. Don't get me wrong, I am really looking forward to crossing the finish line at Chisago Half Iron next month but looking forward to next year, I plan on likely having a pretty "fun" schedule :)
Now it's time for bed and to look onward to Lake Waconia Tri on Sunday
