Racing has become a very important part of my life. It takes a lot of dedication and a lot of focus but results in a real sense of accomplishment and puts me in great shape. Sharing this information helps keep my mind in the game and lets you read about my experiences :)

Minneapolis Half Marathon

Well I'm finally trying to get caught up with my blogger since I figure if I don't hurry up and get this one done I'll be behind two events after this weekend!

Last weekend I ran in the Minneapolis Half Marathon. Unfortunately since it's been almost a week now I can't remember most of the little details I wanted to write about but at least you'll have something :)

I've never ran this course before and for the most part it was completely flat. Only big UP hill was right at the end and it was a serious climb! Thankfully I had another TNTer running with me that day and he pulled me through the whole race and even up that #&^*()$! hill.

I was quite surprised that I actually pulled off a new half marathon PR! I was not expecting that. Must mean all this training is getting me somewhere :)

13.1 Miles - Total time 2:03:34 - Avg pace 9:21 - Avg HR 165 (but I hit 195 at the end....that hurt a little :-P)
