Racing has become a very important part of my life. It takes a lot of dedication and a lot of focus but results in a real sense of accomplishment and puts me in great shape. Sharing this information helps keep my mind in the game and lets you read about my experiences :)

Team Run @ Calhoun

We had a great team run around Calhoun last night. Since the weather is finally at a point where we can be out in our shorts and t-shirts a lot of people came out for the run. We had to run to the 36th street hill, do 8 repeats, then continue to the Harriet Pavillion, back to Calhoun and finish the south west side of the lake. All in all it was about 4.5 to 5 miles. I was happy with my power on the hill repeats but the flat run around the lake proved my shin splints are still with me. Dang it anyway :-P

Tomorrow I need to be at Suzanne's at 3am to help her setup for her garage sale. It's a massive fundraiser sale, I think this is her 6 or 7th year doing it and she hopes to make $6k. I get paid for working the sale and right now I need the money for my fundraising. Still need $2,600 to make my minimum for the two events.

Had a great swim this morning with some powerful 100s. I think my best was a 1:34 so I am very happy with that. I think my previous record was 1:36.

Nothing else exciting to report for now. Just looking forward to sleeping in on Sunday morning :)
