Racing has become a very important part of my life. It takes a lot of dedication and a lot of focus but results in a real sense of accomplishment and puts me in great shape. Sharing this information helps keep my mind in the game and lets you read about my experiences :)

Sunday morning ride

Well I got up this beautiful Sunday morning and had enough time to go out for a bike ride. (yeah believe it or not....I got my butt on my bike...it's been like a month!)

The temperature was perfect, very little traffic, light breeze, and leaves falling everywhere. I decided to keep it light and a Zone 1-2 type ride so I just took off along a known route and explored side roads along the way. I actually found a few new routes that I want to go back and explore so that makes me excited. I'm going to need lots of places to go for training next year. AND managed to get myself sort of lost which extended my ride about 30 minutes :)

Have to spend the next two full days in a seminar downtown for work so likely I won't be getting much in for workouts. Oh well. Biggest thing I'm trying to control now is my eating. Re-setup my Crosstrainer software on my other computer so I've been tracking my caloric intake and trying to get into a reasonable rhythm to lose a few pounds before the "eating season" begins.
