So I honestly have been trying to sit down and write out a new entry for a few days/weeks now. Since my computer post my personal PC nearly died. Thankfully I didn't lose my race and training info that wasn't backed up but unfortunately I have to possibly reload my trainer software and therefore can't get access to easily total my time/mileage. So one of these days I'll do it by hand and update my info on the right side of my page.
We are coming to the end of Week #11 and honestly this was a tough one for me on many levels. I feel more physically tired/sore than previous weeks. My runs are now mostly outside since the weather has been cooperating. I'll be taking my bike out for the first time tomorrow.
TNT training has been 2x per week. Thursdays are team spin and Saturday mornings are team run. I don't go to the team swims since it's very far from home and I'm already swimming 3x per week with Masters. Swim has been going very well. Had a great set of times this past week with my fast 250 being 2:30, 100 @ 1:26 and 50 @ :42. Those were all in the same session with good rest/recovery in between. Yesterday was team spin and I have been going in early to get in a 30-45min treadmill run beforehand. Spin has been mostly Zone 2 training with some sprints/drills thrown in. Last night had some great drill sets but unfortunately that drained my legs for all the kicking we had in swim this morning. Swim was 5-100/5-50kick/3-250/5-50kick/1000. And no I didn't add an extra zero at the end of that...we really did one long 1000 yd swim. With warm up and cool down we did 3000 yds which is I think the longest I've gone so far. The 1000 was supposed to be 16:40 but I came in just over 18:00 I think (didn't have my watch). That didn't bother me though since I was trying very hard to just concentrate on technique through the whole thing.
This weekend is 1:40 run/1:00 bike on Saturday. 2:30 bike and 40 min run on Sunday.
