Racing has become a very important part of my life. It takes a lot of dedication and a lot of focus but results in a real sense of accomplishment and puts me in great shape. Sharing this information helps keep my mind in the game and lets you read about my experiences :)

Home for Life Visit

I had to put this post up quick as well.  Mark and I recently went out for a sponsor visit to Home for Life to see my girl Olive again (which if you haven't read about her yet in my previous blogs is shown in the bottom two pictures of this post)

We brought my sister Deb out to see the sanctuary as well and I think she fell in love with all the animals as much as I did the first time I was there.   She's hoping to join us and bring my niece Lily to their open house on August 14th

Here are a couple photos from our visit.
Can't remember the golden color dog's name but the black one is Ashley.  She doesn't have use of her back legs and how she got that way just breaks my heart (and makes me want to seriously hurt someone!) but she is very sweet and VERY happy at HFL.

This is Nike, he also had a rough start to life and doesn't have use of his back legs but can't fly around the sanctuary when he's in his cart.

Can't remember this little fluff-ball's name either but super cute!! Looks like he just went though the dryer!

I have a super soft spot for Celeste as well and wish I could afford a double sponsorship for Olive and Celeste.   She's completely blind but sometimes you have to wonder as she can navigate around just as well as any of the others.  And LOVES to cuddle :)

And last but not least is my very sweet, loving girl Olive.  She's gotten very tolerant of letting me pick her up and carry her over the past few visits and makes me feel REALLY guilty if I walk away and am not giving her my FULL attention.  She's got this super cute way about her, when she's up in one of the high cat beds, she flips over and looks at you upside down wanting you to pet her :)

Seriously....could you walk away from this sweet face? :)

Too bad you cannot remember the golden retriever name.
