And what a great Christmas day we had! The snowfall was wonderful. Here's a picture at my parent's house and yes that's my car. By the end of the day I think we had 4" of puffy snow.
January I hope to concentrate on my strength training (and getting my eating back on track). I also hope to lose 10 pounds before my first event the beginning of June. I figure I need not put too much effort into endurance since I still plan to swim 2-3 mornings a week and come February, Team In Training (TNT) will be starting and I'll be getting my endurance tested 3x a week with our training sessions.
Currently other than doing the Tahoe Century Ride and the LifeTime Fitness Triathlon (Olympic) with TNT, I also plan to to the Ironman Ride (100mi), Waconia Tri (sprint), Minneman Tri (sprint), Turtleman Tri (Oly), Square Lake Tri (sprint), IronGirl Duathlon, St. Paul Inline Marathon (possibly - due to scheduling conflicts) and the Twin Cities marathon. I've never completed a full marathon before so I'm looking forward to completing that event. I never enjoyed running AT ALL until I started training with TNT in 2006 so finishing this race will be a milestone for me. My biggest event though will be the Chisago Lakes 1/2 Ironman. I'm really excited for that. 1.2 mi swim, 56 mi bike, 13.1 mi run.
(Side note...more info from my past so I'll keep it short :) last year I did Minneman, Elysian, LifeTime, Chisago, Lakefront Days, St. Croix, Square Lake for Tris. Then also a few 5Ks, the IronGirl Duathlon and the Monster 1/2 marathon. Oh, and the St. Paul Inline Marathon....I think that's it....)
I guess that is all the rambling I can think of for now.
To all who may read this....Happy Holidays and Best Wishes for 2008!

Excellent goals Kris! I'm excited for you. 2008 sounds like a very busy and challenging year for you.
Best of luck with all your goals. And if you want some help with your running let me know. I'm kind of a seasoned veteran marathoner and know all about the physical as well as the psychological requirements. The mental part is the toughest by far and if you can conquer that you'll be well on your way to competing in a full IronMan Tri.
