Racing has become a very important part of my life. It takes a lot of dedication and a lot of focus but results in a real sense of accomplishment and puts me in great shape. Sharing this information helps keep my mind in the game and lets you read about my experiences :)

What I forgot from High School

Well I'm studying for my personal trainer certification and the early chapters are all about human anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. Yikes I can't believe that I don't remember much of any of this. I know I got an A in my classes in high school but I guess my brain purged all that information! I'm not sure how detailed I need to get for the exam but personally I would like to retain a lot of this information. But the problem is that it's a LOT of information. Wish me luck :)

On Monday I got in some lower body strength training and today I did core and upper body. I took it sort of easy since I'm not over being sick and I haven't been able to lift for awhile. Amazing how much it hurts again when you haven't been training regularily! My glutes and quads are not happy with my today but it's a good pain :)

I hope to add a picture here from my dinner last night. TNT had a 20 year celebration for all alumni at the Millenium Hotel. It was a blast and hanging out with everyone makes me really excited for training to start (first week in Feb). Dana and I also noticed TNT is doing the Twin Cities Marathon in the fall. So we are going to see where we are at with fundraising by time that team starts up (probably late May) and hopefully we'll have enough or be on the way to raising enough to join that team and race TC with TNT. We planned on doing it on our own but being with the team is so much better than alone. Did I mention they also have the Walt Disney Marathon in January on their schedule? I'm not sure if I'll sign up for that one yet but seems like I should know at least one person that would be interested in that.... :)

Oh, one more thing, my second round of ski lessons start up tomorrow, wish me luck and no broken bones please!

Good luck with ski lessons Kris! I hope you shook your illness and are back on top of your game.

See you soon.
